Any advise on improoving it
I'm just an amateur, Mike, have never competed and don't have much of a clue. I don't have a vimeo account, but I could see the youtube videos fine. I don't know what kind of rod you are using, but ones with a stiffer tip than the one you're using seem to work better for me.

Cheers,
Jim

Paul,
It surely would be great if you can encourage more guys into casting sport at the event. Wish I would be there what a opportunity to learn things from you. Hope you will have a good time there. :pirate:

Looking forward to it. Two days or casting and three of fishing. I've never been to China before - neither has Ashly! I hope they can find waders big enough for me :p

Cheers, Paul

Hi Michal,

Well it can't be the tip then. Paul certainly doesn't have any trouble with them. Maybe someone else knows what's causing it.

Cheers,
Jim

I wouldnt blame the rod. I love it.
After thinking and analyzing my casts, i reckon I creep. I got a lot of line, I got exited and I hit to early( im starting new thread now about rotation). There is no tension in the back loop, and when I hit it hard- wabbling apears.
Its not all casts, but few, but if I want to work on consitency I have to eliminate that crap.
See you in the thread about rotation.
Mike

Hi Mike,

Sorry I can't watch 23 minutes of footage here in the Jungle :p :p If you can make a shorter version I can see it. I think eliminating tip bounce completely with a massively underlined rod is gong to be hard. What I've noticed when compared to the TCX10 is that the HT10 tends to create longer waves whereas the TCX creates a series of wiggles.

I'd be interested to see your loops!

Cheers, Paul

No worries Paul, no need to see all. Just have a look at 39 sec of the vimeo from Melbourne. When you pause it and go screen shot one by one you can see it.

Again, now I think its overdoing it/ overexitment and hiting hard forward without tension in the back loop
Cheers
Mike

I'll check it out when I'm in the 3G zone :)

Hey do we know who the caster is from China in letters I can read? He might be a friend of mine and I'll invite him in :)

Thanks, Paul
