Sorry Lasse, my mistake. I thought you may have been listening to the first minute in this bloke's video, since in the earlier post, you only mentioned making the target 2 metres wide. There was no mention of placing the same target inside a bigger "zone of success".
Carry on.
Cheers,
Graeme

I’m not looking for comp accuracy skills here. Trying to hit a tennis ball within 1m of accuracy - with three attempts - is very achievable. We’re not asking to go fly in hand between attempts. Each attempt should get you closer. It won’t always be like that of course; this is Level 1!
Even Lasse I’m sure can do this with a near 100% accuracy on the first attempt. He would never miss the next two attempts.
Lasse will walk Elite Level too, which makes me think there should be a level above this which he can’t do.
Cheers, Paul

I have had 3 people asking about your challenge Paul.(Don't ask me why they have contacted me)
So, who tests it? Where? When?
I can say that I have a group starting a winter course so your answers to above questions could be incorporated into it.For example we could arrange for the examiner to attend.
Regards
Brian

As far as I undestand it Brian, its set up so any instructor or club coach can examine it. Either you hit the target with the prescribed layout or you don't. Pass or fail.
So its YOU that examine it, on water, and whenever you want
How's the t-shirts coming along?
Cheers

Flycasting, so simple that instructors need to make it complicated since 1685

I reckon whoever egzamine it, must make it perfect first himself and be confidend with every cast on comand.
You cant egzamine something you cant do it yourself- in case somebody ask you- "show me how its suppose to be done"

Of course someone can examine it without being able to do it themselves! It's either the fluff is in the barndoor target or its not. I don't expect the judges at competitions to be able to pass the accuracy with a perfect score before they judge if I hit a target or not. If they did, I should be judging and they competing
If someone can't do it, they should go and practice before trying, and maybe seek some tuition from someone good...
Cheers

Ok Lasse, point taken.
Lets call them judges of the casting challenge not examiners.
So,is there going to be a data in the clubs, on Sexyloops of who passed it, regardless the level, or its just for our own satisfaction in a back yard?
I love the exercise, but dont see the point of how it would be tested.
Do I need a dude with a score sheet to tell me YES, YOU ARE READY FOR THE ELLITE LEVEL.
Nothing sarcastic here from my side, just want to understand it better...
cheers

I think Michal has a fair point.
What will the value of the certificate be?
A bunch of friends at a flyfishing club could be giving each other a certificate.
Cheers, Bart

Hmm,examine each other,Not keen on that Idea to be honest. But if it is only a game and the cert is for nothing, then no harm in it.....I suppose.Lasse Karlsson wrote:As far as I undestand it Brian, its set up so any instructor or club coach can examine it. Sent the T shirts back as the guy thought I was a McCartney fan. There's more than one Paul apparently.

Obviously friends can not test each other It has to go through a casting club (preferably) or possibly through Instructors.
There will be a certificate soon and a hall of fame.
I like the idea of “judges”. But it can’t just be a mate
Cheers, Paul
