Hmm,examine each other,Not keen on that Idea to be honest. But if it is only a game and the cert is for nothing, then no harm in it.....I suppose.

Sent the T shirts back as the guy thought I was a McCartney fan. There's more than one Paul apparently.

Who examines the FFI thing?

Successful completion for all three skill levels requires verification by an evaluator. The Bronze level
challenge requires that the evaluator must be an observer (such as a Club member), a Silver or Gold
level award recipient, or a CICP Certified Instructor. Silver and Gold level challenges require an evaluator
who is a Gold level award recipient or a CICP Certified Instructor.

I guess if it was for free or something it would be ok, I suppose...

Guess your right Lasse, but its not for me to judge as I am not part of a club.We now have 9 names so I guess it will be up to them if they want to self assess. I will give them the options.

For me It is not easy and task 7 on my left is giving me problems. That's as far as I went.Good fun though.

Now that a fu... BIG target- looking forward to tomorrows session.

This is how it looks like with big targets ( still couple of misses though)
Observations:
- Roll cast on the grass to the target at 40'- done
- Rollcast pickup at 30' on the grass is pain in the ass. It is a short rollcast and on the grass you cant slip much line in to the Dloop.
I do it as a slow and low horizontal rollcast, the the back cast and target at 60'
A part from focusing on the target, focus on your tracking as it might go not where you want it.

Questions:
- can I haul(a part from tasks 1,5,8,10) whenever I think its helpfull? I red the whole thing again and there is nothing,about hauling, or not hauling?

- Paul can,you just draw the placment of the object vs target for the curved casts?

A part from that, 1 more session and Im done. I can,judge it now at the clubs, if there is a need.

Yes you can haul. It’s not been mentioned because there is no reason to prevent it.

For the curved casts I’d recommend learning to cast around objects at alll distancees short to long. This saves you walking fowards or backwards while fishing.

I was out doing the first couple of tasks earlier and it slowly registered that I was using a very light haul on the PUALD...
It makes sense that you can as it more akin to real world.... although it def makes it easier

Tasks 1-7... The roll cast elements will need to wait as I don’t particularly enjoy practicing them on grass... and they will require some practice.
The overpowered curve on both sides needs practice, i’m can manage on both sides out to about a target at 20’, but need more practice to increase accuracy and %..... but 30’ i’m rubbish at, i’m gonna tie a proper fly on a hook cut off at the bend... I think the extra weight will help compared to the tiny bit of fluff I am currently using
Backhand... all need practice..
