Some of Bart’s recent posts reminds me of something Jon Allen once said about the Americans in archery. He said that they try everything and if you told them that coating their arrows in manure wouldn’t make them fly straighter then they’d try it!

In 50 years from now they will have figured out the 170 and be teaching it in schools. In the meantime we have to figure it out for them

I went fishing yesterday which involved quite a lot of casting but I didn’t have a wank. Maybe I could manage one off the wrist if I stop hauling, what do the experts think, would I need split crotch waders?
