A bit of practice and a decent pair of spectacles should help :D

Cheers Paul
I’ll take that as a no.

Looks like you’ve limited yourself to position space and decided against momentum space. Heisenberg would probably accept that.

PS. I have a flying tank. Your argument is irrelevant.

PSS. How to generate a climbing loop through control of the casting stroke is left as a (considerable) exercise to the reader.

But since you are relying on conservation of energy to make that cast the scientists, if I knew any, would ask if you have tried a triangle taper?

Fast rods put the fly at target faster than slow rods..

Man, if only people would grab a couple of rods and lines and go out and try for themselves, I wouldn't have to keep linking to the same clip for years... :D

Thanks for your thoughts on fast to slow Walter, still waiting for Pauls :)

Thanks Lasse. I’m actually thinking of stealing your double rod jig for a class I’m considering doing at the FFI fair this year. I will, of course, give credit (to some unknown caster wearing a face mask  ) if I decide to use it.

Are you suggesting that there should be a little bit more of the scientific method applied to science discussions about fly casting? :???:

That’s like saying a fast car gets you to where you are going faster than a slow car.

My description was more like saying a fast clock gets you to lunch time faster than a slow clock.

Position domain vs frequency domain.

Incognito :D

And yeah, that'll be great :upside:

And since the caster is the engine, fast car or slow car, it can't get anywhere can it :p

Fast clock, slow clock, just go eat lunch man!

Thanks Mr. In Cognito.

As Vince would say. Doesn’t matter how fast the car is if the driver is shite. :)
