The importance of training
Hmmm, well I can't even benchpress the weight I was lifting last December - as in I can't even get the bloody thing off the rack , and my chin-up power has left me. I thought I was staying strong in Malaysia with the great hill press-up run and Ti's dumbbells, but apparently not. I have some work to do
Cheers, Paul

That department seems to be working very well, training or no training. In fact life would be much simpler if my dick didn't constantly get me into trouble

On a weight program, you start to lose strength after 48 hours of inactivity.

Well I think that depends John. Some people during a training break, will unconsciously eat a lot less due to the change in energy output, which will affect glycogen and protein stores negatively leaving you weaker. The opposite can be true too, but needless to say, diet plays a big part.
Not to fill the manshit section with science; but here's some stuff to geek out on if you're that way inclined...

Endurance drops off faster than strength.

In my opinion, training endurance while having a break from resistance training is a sure fire way to lose strength quickly. Which sucks!
Steve.

Thinking about it, my last post with the references has no place in manshit. I need to post somewhere because I've banned myself from discussing the unique and special pixie that is skagit casting. I need to start a thread about cigars, or knives or tits or something. Maybe a thread about women who smoke cigars, carry knives, and lift weights.

Well it's nice to have a bench press again. Shouldn't be too long before I'm back to where I was. Have to figure out a way to stay strong while travelling next time. Running is the easy part.
It's 20 degrees here, I think we're in for a hot summer
Cheers, Paul

One leg squats, one arm pushups, chins from trees etc. That should help at least.

p.s
Check their all album Tenacious D, awsome music (will help with training), and fucking funny shit in between songs.
