Surprise surprise...
Trying to find a place to spend some time with my daughter and the dog, and to flick the rod at the same time, I came accros( google search) Dog park/beach in Nudgee. 25min from my door steps ( 15min to get out of the city).
Great looking spot, very flathead looking place.
Put on small white squid on a fast sinking line( tide out, fast curret), after 5 min fish on. Had no idea what it was till I saw it under my feet.
My first ever and decent whiting- cool.
....lost a fly to a snag, repkaced with small closer.
Few casts after, fish on- and again my first ever Tailor.
great fun
Cheers
Mike

Ciao
I am a much happier man after I change my focus from immaginary saltwater fly fishing to JUST FLY FISHING. I dont care what I catch, main thing is it is under my door step and it lets me feel THE TUG on the end of my line.
Couple fish from yesterday and today at one of the Brisbane creeks- Bulimba Creek.
One the things I enjoy the most is casting, tricky sometimes and keeps me on my toes with adjustments- Awesome.
Cheers
