Are there any rules around the pick-up used in single Spey events, e.g. could I legally put a spiral in there if I wanted to?

WC rules have no regulations, but you should ask the head judge to be sure to be sure....

In the CLA I believe it was allowed. I would use an aerial snap lift for the anchor placement. I gain approx 2m with this method.

Would be a great addition to Shootout events. Are there many competitons of this nature? Left and right anchors would make it even more interesting!
