What might be interesting would be to have two casts measured, one from each end of the tape! We used to do this in early shootout days, although most commonly we would cast in a crosswind. Mind you those were in the days when Jon used to compete in UK competitions that were in a fixed direction, no matter what wind direction. I remember when casting with Rick in Texas he wouldn't practise 5WT distance outdoors because the swirling air would mess with his indoor stroke.
There is a good opportunity here however, to measure wind speeds and barometric pressure, temperature etc. and how they all influence the cast. I'll have a go this week - sounds like fun
Cheers, Paul

Re: Virtual flycasting competition
If I'd tried a second set of casts from the other end of the tape when I set my salmon distance I still think I'd be measuring it in the same direction as the first setPaul Arden wrote: ↑Mon May 25, 2020 9:45 am What might be interesting would be to have two casts measured, one from each end of the tape!

Hey Joakim, looks like you get distructed by this results.
Did you place your ST results in a female class just to feel better with your distance?
