Cheers, Bart

The most concerning thing is the diminishing numbers attending this prestigious event.
In 2004 there where 137 casters at the World Championship in Berne, this year only 63 casters
Covid, global recession, costs etc have a part to play, if the decline isn’t addressed by the executive board there will be more stewards, judges etc than casters with a few years.
It does ask 1 question - Why not have a combined World Championships (Juniors U18 & U23, Adult, Senior & Veterans) this years combined figures was 163 casters. Might not be possible over 3 days, extend it to 4 or even 5.
1 venue, 1 set of court builders, 1 set of judges etc. by having a combined event would reduce entry fees for casters through scales of economy.
Food for thought ?

Excellent suggestion Andy,
I'd add a request to schedule fly and inland events no more than two weeks apart each year.
