Paul, German champs had always a sound system and a speaker (usually one of the coaches) how can I imagine that, was it quiet all the time there (?)
Yep. Sometimes you might hear the measurement calls. But no announcer.

I liked how Thor did his job as a speaker, Paul. There were no none casting ppl. from what I saw.
If there would have been, I agree with how you put it.

I’ve met and talked to a few spectators over the years. They were mostly dog walkers or people lost. Occasionally there has been a wife or family member. There has been the occasional Sexyloops reader visiting to watch. Unless we make it spectator friendly then no one will come. Even the competitors have no idea what’s going on half the time.

I agree. However I have been involved in sound technique setups several times, both indoors and outdoors. Especially outdoors it's not too easy. You need a professional and professional equipment. Lots of money again. I don't really see that happen. We are already complaining about cost level....

They’re not very expensive to rent and even cheaper if you have friends.

Here it was quite expensive. Renting didn't do. I needed the expert to set it all up and make adjustments.
Fair to say, I was put in lousy equipment for many demos myself. 🫣🙄
Anyway, I agree it can be done, if enough ppl. participate... back to the start... 😬

Seems like we should have run with the break away thing in 2012, and made a new association for flycasting and surfcasting.

Back to shootouts, any one up for some virtuel ones?

Cheers

Flycasting, so simple that instructors need to make it complicated since 1685

Got a Q++ at casting school, wearing shorts ;)

What I liked about 2012 is that we all met and discussed what we wanted to do. Ok we made the wrong decision  But that was the right format.

Same for me. I don't like to film myself until I hit it right.
Maybe we should all complaint to the ICSF instead of complaining here?
I really wonder what makes the costs. One almost could think there is a concurrence seen between our world and the casting sport world, which not everyone may like?
I have no clue. But I have seen things like this happening before.
