Sunray Micro Thin Fly Lines

Not this again
:glare:

Someone did measure a sunray line a few years back, James... The results are on a different forum, but I'm quite sure he'll share them here :D belly was heavier and thicker than stated, and runningline was sinking (great way of making it thinner ;) )

Yay, magic :p

Cheers

The most bizarre thing was when Tom replied to the thread where I pointed out his 'ultra thin' #5 line was in fact fatter (in the head) than a MED #5 with a statement along the lines of - "well you'd expect that because the MED has a much longer head - if you roll out a sausage so it's longer, it gets thinner". Well that told me :D :D :D

The weight scale used by Sunray is a bit strange:

Sunray.JPG (19.42 KiB) Viewed 2612 times
Their #1 is a #2 and their #5 is a #4 approximately
Only the #3 is in line with affta
Nearly all the weigth is in the head.

Not sure it is magid, or snake oil - I'm trying a few of these, next week, and am assured by a completly independent user, that these lines are just superb, especially in the lighter weights and for casting in a wind...will report back!

Most think a line is nice when it throws like a heavier line, without realising it is because its heavier :D

Bring scales ;)
