I have an even more cunning plan for those ones, Lasse, which will involve me learning TLT. :p

Here's a knife that gets a lot of use (from Sardinia)...

Since I was sort of the reason this thread was stared, I thought I better chip in. Here's my favourite knife.
Forged by my very good friend, Jens Pilgaard, and finished my me (handle and sheath).

How's the Red Dragon Knife doing, Paul?

I'm very glad to hear that :-). If you can get your hands on it, I *really* like the Spyderco Ceramic Pocket stone. This is the one I use for most of my day-to-day sharpening.

some really nice blades in here - especially the Fiddleback ladyfinger and the last one...

I don´t have any custom stuff to show off; Even a Mora makes me happy enough... However my favourite one is this Casström - next to a Mora Companion for scales...

I'm rather proud to get it not just hair popping but hair splitting sharp:

I gave this LT Wright Genesis flat(came shockingly dull, but I got it sharp; handle is the best I've touched so far) to my best friend for his 40th birthday:

Nice knives Laura!

And I agree the Fiddlebacks are very nice.

Something quite different, Fallkniven A1 :pirate:

Yeah, nice knives, Laura.

How's that Fallkniven working for you, Grunde? I had one and to be honest, I was terribly disappointed. For a knife that Price, I simply didn't feel I got enough. Rubber handle and stock steel...

Hi,

I love my Fallkniven knives! I have 4, a U2 folder, an F1, S1 and the A1 pictured above. All the fixed blades are in the standard VG10 laminated steel, which is very corrosion resistant, is easy to sharpen and holds an edge well. My favourite is the F1 which is a very handy, solid and capable blade. I care the least for the S1 which is to large to be super handy and to small for chopping and other bigger tasks, also it's a lousy slicer (the A1 is in fact better), the S1 is still a god knife though.

I sort of agree with Lars, the price is pretty steep for a production blade (and it's now even worse after their laste price hike), and some think/feel that they look "cheap". But the quality of the knives are imho pretty darn good, the design is minimalistic and well thought though, the build is very solid, and the selected materials are extremely weather and wear resistant. Some people especially dislike the molded Zytel sheaths, I could not disagree more :D For my F1 I have a leather sheath, a custom Kydex thing and the Zytel, and the Zytel sheath is simply the most functional one, and if it gets dirty you can wash it (I'm pretty sure its even dishwasher safe :O)

If you want value for money go for a Mora, if you want a minimal maintenance rock solid workhorse knife go for a Fallkniven, if you want jewellery go for a hand forged beauty :pirate:
