very enjoyable to be here and this is a great forum.
I'm an old fly fisher, started in 1964 with bamboo and silk lines on the coast here in Denmark, everyone said I were crazy.
As the years go by my fishing changed to dry fly and streams mainly brown trout and grayling. As a result of that I have been to Norway and Sweden and a lot of others hunting fish.
Fly fishing is a never stop learning process and because of that I have, after 15 years of thinking decided to go up the CI examination. This, not because I need the paper but a challenge to my self. Another thing is, I am member of a fishing club with many juniors and no fly division within. I want to start one and use my skills and give something back of the joy I have had over the years. Maybe some of the ethic and values is going to settle on the youngsters and that is no bad deal,

BTW my practice up to now have showed me how much power I have used over years moving that line and how less is really needed.
That has until now been the greatest experience. I started with very slow rods and have moved to faster and faster and somehow everyone should try very slow rods.

Welcome from a positively balmy London

I tried a friend's bamboo very slow action rod and just couldn't get on with it.

Life in the fast lane for me.
Slowly going to lose my mind.

Aren't we all?

Hi Lowlevell, and a big welcome from me!

When do you take the CCI exam? I'll help in any way I can. I always enjoy the questions :) I agree with you that flyfishing is always about learning. That seems to be the most important thing of all.

I can change your username if you want - just let me know what you want. The username change has to be done by someone who has administrative access. i.e. me

Cheers,
Paul

thx a lot Paul Arden, please change my username to c.k.bernt, it is an old habit to use lowlevell. A long time ago I received 10 HD with 10 MB, I lowlevel formatted them and they diden't work any more. At that time I could buy cars for the price. Do I have to tell someone could have killed me.
