Wow if it’s next trout season in Europe I can see myself casting at the front of a cyclone We do sometimes get 100mph+ winds here. I just never considered casting in them. There won’t be much room for body movement because I’ll have to tie my feet to the ground.
It's an exploration; bring a flyrod.

Hi James

Who's trout season start would you be aiming for ;)
And will we have a side bet on how long the longest will be?

Cheers
Lasse
Hi Lasse,

The prize is a day on the river Dee here in Wales, so I guess we should go for that trout season. Not that it matters because the Welsh Dee is more renowned for grayling than trout. It all depends on Covid too.

Yes, a side bet on the longest would be interesting. Over 40m is going to happen, how much over I don't know :D
I was hoping for the northern swedish trout season, would love to see what the Piteå crew could do :D

Might be serious about this, I do like grayling....

41,65 meters is my pick for longest :p now that it's written, it will be beat :D

Cheers
Lasse

When do the Piteå crew get to cast?
41.65m is a big distance - is that what you're going to cast? :pirate:

Cheers, James

A long way behind on this one (36.6 m) but I'll do better next time. I got to 39.4 m when I was working out where my PU distance should be - I should have been videoing. :(

Hi
Great idea TC/James, and its very cool that peoe participate.
My hands are getting very itchy looking at your facebook entries :D , but I will need few days to reconect with my freshly reparied HT that arrived 2 days ago.( after 6 months- covid= slow post)
My muscle fibres have to conect with carbon fibres to become one again :pirate: .
Meanwhile it is a prime time for carp here in Australia, so my hands used to the 3wt for a while...

Keep awesome casting and see you soon...

cheers
mike
