Bubble float. It’s the future of fly fishing.
It's an exploration; bring a flyrod.

Gentlemen, gentlemen. Please! Point of order!

Please be careful of your language. This is a public forum.

It is NOT a bubble float...it's a 'strike indicator'!

:D :D :D :D :D

My friend Tellis called micro skagit "bombarda for the flyfisher" when I stuck one in his hands back when they came out :p

Great tools for certain jobs, which people forget flylines are....

Cheers

So is harling and French Nymphing. I have no problem with any of it. Sometimes we do what we have to do.

But if you want to go dry fly fishing with a bubble float you are making life difficult!! When I was about 22, I was picking apples in a NZ orchard. In the irrigation ponds were some big and some small trout. After work I would fly fish and a Czech friend of mine would fly fish using a bubble float and nymphs.

We also used to fish a dam near there that was quite a bike ride. The river that flowed into this dam is the river where Ronan has caught the same fish three times in a 7 year period, that is now over 10lbs.

The orchard is now a vineyard, I have no idea what happened to my Czech friend, and bubble floats are now fly lines :D

Cheers, Paul

Generally I like my dry flies to land quietly and without a bubble float landing beside them.
