Hey guys/ladies from Florida/New York

Hey guys (just to get ahead of any perceived gender bias “guys” is unisex :D)
So my name is Vinny. I’m recently retired NY, Long Island teacher 30 years worth!!
I’m 63 married 40 years to my HS sweetheart, Judy.
I’ve been an angler my entire life which includes the fly. Since relocating to Florida I’ve become more fly then angler as the conditions where I am easily allow for it. After several weeks of several hrs a day of blind casting I came to realize “if I want to be doing this for another 20 years I need to learn to cast with less effort”. I found Paul about a year ago we talked back and forth during this time till I came to the decision to have Paul help me.
I’m working on the techniques from our second meeting and I’m finding it’s taking less effort to throw the 60-70’ than it did
before.
So without taking up anymore time I just wanted to say hello.

Vinny,

I live up in Broward, but I fish mostly down in Everglades National Park.

I know some folks (FFi instructors) around your area. They speak highly of the fishing. I keep saying I'm going to sample it... but I can't seem to drag myself away from the wilderness backcountry.
