Don’t teach it.
If I did, it definitely wouldn’t be at the end because that’s probably not the main thing I want them to remember on take away. That’s a primacy/recency thing.

Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.

If you will ever try do so (I really would recommend it, because the first fish on fly rod is near), try feel and have him pull hard, medium and soft. That feel sticks as I saw many times when the first fish happened.

Wind and rain not a problem. Phones are usually waterproof. I’ve given numerous lessons in both conditions. In fact out of 11 lessons Graeme has had in NZ, only one lesson was not given in the rain
With groups you can have as many angles as there are cameras. That would certainly be interesting.
If you have no internet connection then you’ll need to record to camera. It’s more hassle to share. I like simple solutions.

My experience was, that without internet zoom and all others, too didn't work at all. So... there is no lesson without it.Paul Arden wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2024 2:21 pm If you have no internet connection then you’ll need to record to camera. It’s more hassle to share. I like simple solutions.

I think, that filming all the time easily might feel intimidating to a fair amount of students. Similuar to standing close watching all the time....
Videocall, too isn't for everyone...
Many like to have space in between.

Sure you’d have to ask them first.
