Lots of tailing loops when casting larger flies...

I've had more success casting big flies by shooting line into the back cast. Well, it's not so much shooting line as allowing the weight of the fly to pull line through my fingers as the line straightens out - sort of like a shock absorber to stop the line snapping taut at the end of the stroke. When the "shooting" line begins to slow I shift into the forward cast.
