Fly Swap

In a strange turn of events I managed to catch a huge trout (for Scotland) on one of my own fly swap patterns at the the weekend :pirate: :pirate: :pirate: which I tied 6 years ago! Definitely worth the wait!

Fly Swap

Just so we could keep this thread for the 2013 flyswap going in 2019 alive, I just wanted to say that I got my flies at the end of last year and they are tremendous. So many thanks to all who contributed and thanks Paul for the extra goodies. Very generous.

Poppers for Trout

I have caught stockies on wee American panfish poppers in Scotland, and had wild brown trout on Big skated Bombers on rivers which I guess serve a similar role without the popping.

Goretex Camo or similar

If you give up making a hat, I am pretty sure you can get a camo Seattle Sombrero from Outdoor research.
