Lake Strobel (Jurassic Lake) & Rio Santa Cruz

"As John Lennon said - find out who is profiting." - quick Google search tells you who's got it all sewn up.

The unfortunate thing here is that the locals must be slowly be getting squeezed out of their own home waters, as access is restricted for them.

Lake Strobel (Jurassic Lake) & Rio Santa Cruz

Hi Mac, I believe that they privatised the fishing a decade or more ago. No, but I know people who might, so if no one else chimes in I can ask! Cheers, Paul Any intel/contact would be much appreciated Paul. From what I can ascertain, Argentinian law dictates that all waterways and riverbanks are p...

Lake Strobel (Jurassic Lake) & Rio Santa Cruz

Does anyone have any experience on either Lake Strobel or the Rio Santa Cruz? I'm working on and off in Brazil at the moment and was half planning a DIY(ish) trip to Patagonia. Google searches come up with all the usual operators, whom are charging eye watering prices for what is, after some reading...

Epoxy and UV resins

Epoxy and I have been acquainted for many years and I've still a few yellow headed surf candies around the place. My current and recommended product is Z-Pozy PT 38. No sign of discoloration after several years. Not bad shelf life either. Cheers Mark. I'll see if I can source the Z-Pozy stuff here ...

Epoxy and UV resins

Hi guys, It would seem that the old skool 5min Epoxies days are numbered now, with all these new UV cure resins that are now available on the market. The benefits of using UV cure vs the old two part resins in terms of user friendliness are obvious, however I was wondering how durable are they? I've...

Cuba in Dec & Jan

Hi Pete,

I've had a last minute change of plan. I'm now heading for Los Roques over the festive period. December seems to be an excellent month for everything, including the diving.

I see from other forum posts you're a bit of a LR veteran. Would you mind if I PM you a few queries?

Cheers,
Saul

Cuba in Dec & Jan

Hi guys, I'm planning a few weeks in Cuba this coming Dec and Jan with the gf. My plan is to tour around a bit, with a mixture of diving, sightseeing and of course fishing. As it's going to a mixed holiday it rules out staying at any of the fishing lodges as I doubt they deal with the odd days guide...

Gel Spun - Gel Spun knots

Gel Spun - Gel Spun knots

Gelspun on my saltwater reel ended up in a birds nest so I've had to cut out a section. What's the best knot for connecting two lengths of 50lb gelspun?
I can't find anything on the web........

Thanks in advance guys :-)
