Re: Physics Q/As for the casual reader
I'm with Andrew on this one. Physics for the casual reader is a contradiction in terms. It only takes a quick scroll through the physics forum to realise that this is definitly not a subject for the casual reader. I would suggest that Greenomad's/ Mark's Einstein series is more than adequate for the...

Re: Poppers - how much?
Why don't you teach some locals to tie? That would give you more free time and maybe provide someone with some much needed income.

Re: Poppers - how much?
You've done a video for snakehead casting. Why not do a SBS for tying a snakehead popper? I'd think it's much easier to learn to tie a popper than it is to learn the snakehead shot, if your guests can't be arsed learning to tie a fly then any price you ask is justified

Re: Semi automatic reels
Sorry, but I don't know of any. My experience is limited to Vivarelli. I think the basic problem is that semiautomtic reels are basically designed for quick line retrieval in fresh water hence are not saltwater proof and don't have what it takes to haul in a feisty bone.

Re: Semi automatic reels
I wouldn't recommend using a Vivarelli in the salt. I have been using them for many years in freshwater and if you forget to lubricate them they seize up. Another downside is that the drag is designed to be set to avoid overrun and has to be adjusted using an Allen key also no way could you retrieve...

Re: FIPS
Hi Paul I live in Italy, most flyfishers here don't really like FIPS. What is it that you are trying to find out?

New fp layout
New front page only works for me on my PC. My mobile (Android) seems to be stuck in timewarp ( like John I have Bernd's 18th feb F.P). Since I normally nearly always view on my phone, at first I couldn't work out what all the fuss was about.

Downloaded? where?
OK forget it, I was sure that when I first looked at the description page the first 3 sections were blank and then when I looked again after buggering about they were marked as purchased, instead it was always like that and I was just too dense to realise it. Sorry
