backing connection and shark flies
Hi Guys, I've done double biminis for my backing to fly line connection on my 10 and 12#'s (to gelspun) but on my 8# I've used ordinary backing and the knot is looking kinda lumpy. Do you think I can get away with just a single bimini. Also keen to catch a lemon shark as I'm walking around the islan...

Thanks Paul for the help. I'm practicing like mad and had my first lesson for the advanced next year and my lovely mentor was really pleased with my progress by using the apps so great stuff!!!! Only annoying thing is that you make it all look so easy. And yes I look like a hobbit casting the 12# :D...

sliding

Is this because you need a more aggressive rotation? Also when I try sliding i'm ending u...

I think it would be more realistic if we were handed rods and lines on the day and told to do various casts with them. Every day I am presented with different set ups with my clients and they expect you to show them casting techniques with their own rods, some are lovey, some are pants. I don't know...

Okay guys, i am totally muddled by all of this. :( I have my casting exam this year and now you are saying that we should't teach the stop or even mention the word as we don't actually really stop the rod abruptly which is true once you start to know what you are doing but surely when teaching begin...
