Re: PUALD Challenge

Maybe some net floats on the rope might act as markers if you can source them Paul?

Re: Grog

I will have to try Elijah Craig. You are right, there are a lot more I need to try....good idea having the reference point on standby. There’s an absolute smorgasbord of beers to try here nowadays Paul and I need to start working my way through them. I’m more of a lager drinker so not a fan of a lot...

Re: The Australian Casting Academy

Hi Phil, Thanks for the help on the day, you spent quite a bit of time with me which I really appreciated. I did a bit of boxing in my teens and early twenties and my trainer used to get the more experienced guys to teach the new guys as he said it was one of the best ways to improve our skills. It ...

Re: Loop control

Interesting, I did notice at times when I drift I create a bit of slack. I have deleted the footage from when I was doing it last a couple of weeks ago...it would have been interesting to see if I had that little bit of slack then. Thanks for all the help.....if it starts happening again I now have ...

Re: Loop control

Thanks, I will try and be more aware of my pickup.
The grass at the park I am casting at is often long so I am forced to do a pretty quick pickup when it is like that otherwise the fluff can get caught up in the weeds etc....hopefully they mow it more often once the weather warms up.

Re: Loop control

It happens on casts that are longer mate...30ft+ It hasn’t happened for a couple of weeks so hopefully I am past whatever I was doing to make that happen. I was just trying to understand what was causing it. In my mind I was picturing the end of the line rolling over and me putting more force into t...

Re: Loop control

Haha....if I be honest I have cracked myself in the back of the head a few times.😂...bloody hurts! Interesting what you are saying the cause may be....so the whole line possibly has a falling trajectory and I am emphasising the downward movement? Tbh I don’t think I am good enough to adjust the traj...

Re: Loop control

I have another question if I can run it past you please. On my forward cast, sometimes I start to get the fluff coming pretty close to the back of my head. If I slow down a little and adjust the wait time it seems to not travel as close any more. Is this due to timing being out where I am starting t...
