Re: Wet fly line

Thanks Paul
I already use the twisting trick ( which really helped my casting )
Yes the line was sticking to the rod between rings.
It's a cheap line so sounds like it needs something on it

I went fishing last night and it started to lightly rain. It seemed as soon as everything got wet the fly line stuck to the rod, even with the rod just held out straight the line was stuck to the top half of the rod. Made it hard getting a cast going. Re: Wimpy back cast

Thanks Pom and Lasse, watching the tip really helped my cast. Got to 70' with little effort, just the leader landed in a U.
Probably should of feathered the presentation.

Then once I have it up in the air I'm trying to get the same results from just feel and how the loop looks. Which ends up as ...

Re: Wimpy back cast

I will definitely give the twist a try
I know Sunray make their rods with the bottom ring turned out, probably for the same reason

Re: Wimpy back cast

Ok I got my cast looking pretty good due to the lessons and tips ( thank you very much ) I think I found the problem with my line not shooting on the back cast. It seems to be sticking to the rod on the back cast, doesn't what to go until I really put some whump into it It's a brand new line, 6 weig...
