Fuck
The #5 rod is not a #5
The 170 is not a 170
and now The 5wt line is not a 5wt :p

at this point I will try to get my best out of MED as till now is an official line for WC. When things change I will change. chucking 6' more with heavier line is not my goal.
cheers

#5 in flat calm

Hi on a days with shitie performance I like to look at the BFCC results to built up my morales. You ca see there ,that one month 117' cast wins, and next month the same caster casts 98', and I dont think they set the casting lane against the wind. 105-110 with a nice turnover and straight lay out on...

Hi
It should give you more stability and help you cast further as we deal with 5ft less overhang.
Now does anybody know if there is a weight difference beetwen MED and GT 125 in first 30'?
and last thing
any chances for ICSF to let us use it in next WC, or is it MED-period!
cheers

Wind outdoors vs indoor flycasting

...and for those who think that casting huge distance with the big tail wind is easy, I must say that with out fast, low, tight loop in the back cast, the tail wind wont help you to set a record. Loop looses its energy on the end of unroling, and becomes slower, if the wind blows in to the slow unrol...

Wind outdoors vs indoor flycasting

Hi All There was a discussion before about air conditions on distancse casting/loop turnover. When I cast early in the mornimg(windless conditions),when the frost is still on the grass, it seems the loops drop earlier. When the sun start heating up, the frost melts and vaporates, warm air is going u...

line carry vs. rod stiffnes

One more thing. On the photo the bottom butt section is the first I bought, the top one is the rebuild one (they rebuild the second section too so they match). Notice that the bottom one has extra wrapping which feels thicker, when running fingers trough it. Do you think there is a big difference in ...
