count the rises

... count the rises ;-)

I just let the GoPro run for 25 minutes and speeded it up in post-processing down to a minute. Watch on large screen.

Re: Lens for nature shots

I've been shooting with a Canon 5d MK IV full frame and a EF 100-400 lens. Problem with this lens was the rather slow f stop of 4,5 to 5,6 (depending on zoom) so I am switching to a EF 70-200mm constant f2,8 now. Bought all my gear used and saved quite a bit because of that. It still is lot of money...

They do make some cracking stuff! Oh dam that's awesome! I will have a look at that link, where abouts are you fishing? It's been awful for us this year as the temperature has been terrible! Re: Lars FP about the bullhsitting line manufacturers

I have too of course. Many years ago Magnum brought down a 2 or 3WT with a 10WT line (or something like that) with the instructions to break it casting. We couldn’t. However I don’t think that is a good representation for all rods. There are plenty of rods out there that simply explode with a comp ...

Re: Lars FP about the bullhsitting line manufacturers

what about the lines your were supposed to send a year ago? Haven’t made them yet. Plan to with next batch! It’s always more challenging when I get asked for something I don’t have :D Do you have a measuring balance? Cheers, Paul Maybe you should move this post into the fly swap section ;-) I am to...

Re: Lars FP about the bullhsitting line manufacturers

Quicker loading surely would be for faster shots? What it really is is deeper loading for slower shots, Graeme. Are those measured weights TZ or pulled off the site? When I mentioned it to Mike he good me they target the upper end of the scale not the centre. This is why we need to weigh all this s...

Re: Lars FP about the bullhsitting line manufacturers

Another good example is the Barrio 125. That’s also somewhere in the middle weights. So on the HT6 I’d fish or cast the 125 5WT. That rod was essentially designed around an XXD 6. Cheers, Paul GT125 WF5F fly line - target weight at 30 feet - 140 grains / 9.1 grams. - standard is 140 GT125 WF6F fly ...

Re: Lars FP about the bullhsitting line manufacturers

What has more drag, a full DT 4 or a short belly 4 (really a 6) with very thin runningline behind it? Should be easy to give a ballpark estimate on that one... Cheers Lasse What about mending? Do you mend alot when the fish just spooled you of a full flyline? Cheers Lasse Lasse, I meant mending bef...

Re: Lars FP about the bullhsitting line manufacturers

Well they sell a lot more lines and have a lot more customers. Customer service is usually always more personal with the smaller manufacturer. I know Josh and Bruce well at SA. I nearly sent them the thread but the first post seemed like a bit of a direct rant at them so I didn’t. (Or haven’t yet)....
