Re: Happy New Year 2020!!!

Day 2 here in central NY, USA. 41ºf partly sunny. For a winter's day, not bad - certainly a day to cast a bit.
May you all find new joy and then the appropriate contentedness this year 2020.

Re: FFI CI exam Tailing loops

At times I have asked students that are too forceful to 'hide the stop'.

Re: late rod rotation and softer rods

It might be one for the physics forum but I think we can generate higher line speed through rotation only rather than rotation plus translation post MCL. But it might have to do with the ‘Self Deceleration Mechanism’ that two people understand. Or indeed how the body functions - fast joints! I do b...

Pittsburgh Casting Club - April 27th

Hey Sexy Loopers, The Pittsburgh Casting Club is holding a one day event, Saturday April 27th. Mostly accuracy with Angler's Fly distance as an introduction competition. This club is a fantastic addition to the ACA - actually an old club (from the 40's ?) which has been recently renovated, spear hea...

NY fly casting instructor recommendations

Hey Alex, Yes, sure, can do. Need to discuss dates, but we let's do that privately. Some of the proceeds may have to go to Paul's manly chair-bed fund ;) I teach regularly in Central Park, near Mineral Springs cafe , off the north sidewalk of Sheep Meadow. email: easterncaster@gmail.com Cheers, Craig

'Core Cast', Andy's FP

Core Cast: keenly interests me to use it in my instruction for distance. Actually, if memory serves me, I have done something similar in the past - with myself for competitions. No matter. Andy's FP got the juices flowing. I have a workshop coming up this summer in Quebec - a fabulously fun rendezvo...
