Re: safety

I can swim but even so I used a life vest in The Ronan when I was going alone or driving the boat at night in the dark. I was mostly worried about banging my head against a stump if I had fallen in. And as you (Paul) said, it might deflect from a fall on a pointed stump, that are very common in the ...

Re: Best dropper knot

Hahaha, I should consider a neoprene suit if I would end up like Ronan. He didn't seem to get very far

Re: Best dropper knot

No they don't since they use oars and hence counts as a boat, the same with kayak. Only leg powered tubes allowed. It probably is hard work, I've never tried it but I guess it is less hard than the Belum stairs from the hotter parts of hell. Incidentally those stairs made me stronger. The stairs I u...

Re: Best dropper knot

Thanks Paul, now I get it. Yes, Sandasjön is a very beautiful place. That's why I choose to fish there. Only float tube is allowed there. The fish you see rising is without a doubt roach. There are quite a lot of them, I know, since I have caught them and mini Perch as well. The latter showed some i...

Re: Best dropper knot

I was down doing some night fishing between Saturday and Sunday and got nothing even though I was on the move. I saw some fish jumping in the the middle of the lake but I couldn't get to them unfortunately. The float tube really seems to be the trick here. Time to save up some money for that. In the...

Re: Best dropper knot

I have of course been thinking about getting a float tube, which also brings up the need for waders that I don't have at the moment. But I haven't though about the shooting head setup. I have been looking up prices for said things and the good thing is that I wouldn't have to rely on NASA for pictur...

Re: Best dropper knot

Cheers mate! There were people swimming last time so I guess it was pretty warm in the water, not necessarily so warm that I would consider having a bath though.... I'll get me a thermometer to record the temp since that's useful data to have. Luckily, it is not as hot this year as it was last year....
