Re: David Attenborough: a life on our planet

Excellent documentary.

Have you seen "the game changers" on Netflix, if not, go and see.
Superb ways of convincing the most hardcore meateaters. (at least the ones with a functioning brain).

Not woodwork , no knives, not even flyfish related but maybe some inspiration; Compressed leather, aluminum, shaped on lathe, we also tried a version with bone but the smell while shaping was disturbing.. https://scontent-amt2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/90695662_10222515020530153_8279642755555131392_o....

Re: Lightning Strikes and The Faraday Cage

i misread.. was referring to the cage thingy.
come to mention, houses don't have the tendency to move a lot, boats mostly do.
So as for probability, the house has a higher rating, especially the ones that are stocked with carbon rods :)

That's a myth though.. Lightning takes the path of least resistance, and where it just hit is usually that 😉

Re: Lightning Strikes and The Faraday Cage

Ok so sit in the middle of the boat. Would touching the hull be a problem? yes. sudden death. no matter where the impact occurs on your faraday's cage. You want the electricity to be lead away the fastest possible way. Lightning will probably hit the highest point of the boat, a thick low resistanc...

Re: Tippet breaking-tropical hot saltwater.

Just got home from the flats. After some serious testing my conclusion is this. The tippet material i used on the previous trip from where my problems started was the issue. Can't pinpoint the date of purchase and/or manufacturing but do know that this was the problem. with the same material; fresh ...
