Re: Inflatable Life Jackets

Was the chap who fell in knocked unconscious as well? Luckily no, he slipped while getting into the boat. He could though easily hav knocked his head in the process. He was alone when it happened, rather well hidden even though very close to the hut. Anyway, I also chose these vests as you hardly r...

Re: Inflatable Life Jackets

I have the automatic ones at Skålestrømmen. Very unobtrusive. In Norway it is mandatory to wear a life jacket in a boat under 8m. https://www.skalestrommen.no/ff/inflatable-life-vests/ In the last two seasons we did not have any unintended inflations. Actually only one angler fell in and so triggere...

Re: Wading boots by shoe companies

I actually wouldn’t mind paying that for 3-4 seasons. I’ve never had wading boots or shoes for that matter last anything like that long. Two seasons would be fantastic. What I will do with these boots is an initial ‘first impressions’ review. A review once I’ve really learned them. And finally a re...

Re: Wading boots by shoe companies

Just a quick comment on SIMMS. I find it ridiculous to charge that kind of money for shoes which are designed to fall apart after 3 or 4 years. I had a pair of their top line (guide or whatever they are called) and they literally fell apart after the mentioned period. I didn't even hike in them. I u...

pizza on the campfire

Since this year I live in a van - https://www.thomas-zullich.com/tag/our-sprinter-forrest/. I decided so make life easier and work less. Work often gets in the way of life, specially. fishing and that weird thing called freedom. One tiny thing bugged me though. Not having an oven is a serious drawba...

Re: Midge patterns

My best advice - replace all the CDC with polyyarn and you get a much better fly that you can dry easily. I'm really no fan of CDC at all :-). What size midges are you asking about, because I'm in Paul's corner here (HAH, get it?). The smaller it gets, the less important the pattern is. Shipman's, ...

By the way - that entire video was shot on a Dji Mavic Mini drone (with Freewell filters) and a GoPro Hero 7.
