Strong hooks small flies
They weren't that expensive either, £1.69 for ten hooks. I just tested two Gamakatsu Live Bait size 10. It takes 0,60 mm Stroft GTM and instead of straightening it breaks at 28 lbs. The wire in the Kamasan are 0,6 mm and the Gamakatsu is 1 mm thick.

Congrats to your 9000:nd post! I really hate that it is so dark this time of year which makes it hard to practice in the weekdays and see what I am doing at the same time, add the cold to that. Do you mean that I should throw a tight loop so it lands without unrolling then? I can say that I have wat...

I have bought a package each of the hooks Boisker mentioned above. The Kamasan B911x Eyed and Kamasan Animal Eyed Barbless hooks in size 12. I did an unscientific test using a scale from the Swedish anglers society (Sportfiskarna), certified for registering to their big catch database, with two hook...

Cheers mate! I'll go down to the water on saturday and/or sunday, hopefully both, and have a go in daylight. I have watched the Snakehead shot video again and I see how soft your casts are and I must learn to slow down and be more gentle. You mentioned tapping a drum, but I can tell you that when I ...

I might add that it's 9 meters of flyline outside the tip on the video. But it strikes me as a bit hard to lift that amount of line out of the water before the CS, I know you say 2 meters for Snakehead PUALD though. When I tried this the first time with the popper I did it all wrong and got some rea...

Heres the PUALD from a bit of a crappy angle maybe. I think I need to stiffen my wrist up, it seems too floppy. I don't know if I still use too much power in my strokes. I am still more pushing than pulling to get the loop tight, probably because of the floppy wrist? It was a little windy so I belie...

OK, I've got some studying and practicing to do. About the PUALD cast, any specific angle you'd like to see it from? I'll see if I have the possibility to do it on water or if have to make do with casting on grass.
Cheers mate!

Thanks for the tip Paul. I've got the APP so I have just watched it. I hadn't watched that before actually. But I have purchased everything on it. Any other episodes you think I should concentrate on?
