Re: line lubricants vs

A possible 10 kg snakehead, or a lumiline fight in Sweden at night?

Re: ICSF WC Flycasting Sweden 2024

Yep, thats 472 euros for participating, gone down 80 from the original proposal. Was 70 but is more due to inflation :D On top comes lodging.

Going to be interesting to see how many participate, hope they make the 6 nations needed.

Re: Line configuration affect on rod

Most fishermen just use the heavier line to propel the size of flies they really want to fish, and go by the arbitrary number on the rod to say they fish light. With similar outlay the 6 weight line feels equally heavy on both the stiff and the soft rod, the rods feel different. Depends on what you ...

Re: Structuring multiple lessons

It’s any task that requires an increase in linespeed Lasse, changing planes as an example. It’s not just about mentoring though, it’s about instructing in general. If the basic casting stroke is cramping a casters capacity to vary it then they have to learn how to change it so they can. In some qua...

Re: Structuring multiple lessons

That's curved line presentation. If its the slow-medium-fast falsecasting, then that's CI task 8, and yeah, agree on the importance of that task, it shows much more than most realise.

And yeah, don't mentor anymore either, can't mentor impossible :D

Re: Structuring multiple lessons

We have a common student, incidentally, who has this problem. Training the slow to fast MCI exercise they can’t generate enough speed from their forearm to create the fast loops, and so end up shifting weight to try make this happen. That’s a weakness of the frozen wrist approach. The speed has to ...

Re: Line configuration affect on rod

That casters prefer short weights to long weights is a given, its alot harder to have a long weight positioned right, than to get a short one in the right place. Has nothing really to do with the rod, everything to do with the caster ;) Cheers Lasse Lasse So is this why I find any rod/line combo I ...
