The missionary has had an effect on some of my gotoo patterns
,most in use is my silkcut shrimp which features a tied flat wing purple tippet
also some smaller wets with flat wings
This style with a wobble as they sink bring me some extra fish .They also fish on the swing or retreive.

Lars, that is one fab pattern ,sort of irish shrimp fly ,goes 20th century .really good dressing mode ,lots of glue to make the fly last a la Dick walker .Sparse on the hackles with some meat in the dubbing ! Yo Gents, And what if I stand in deeper water? Should I buy a shorter line, longer rod or move wider? :) Cheers Angler Joe Falkus told me when using shorter rods and deep wading to gett the reel up by your ear. :yeahhh: Mind you thats a long time ago ,when a real speyline was a 40 yard DT. :whistle:
