I think that’s probably the basis of what I need to do Paul…. I rarely need to cast or carry any distance, I’ve also focussed more on PUALD rather than carry…. In Toulouse at the moment, it will be out regularly to the field when we get home

To be honest Vince I think it probably relates to the amount of practice and use over the last 2 years…. I’ve just practiced and used my cast off to the side way more than overhead. Cheers Paul… bizarrely my puald is still ok, particularly at shorter distances… I think it’s because I fish mostly small rivers, it’s my most common cast as I minimise false casting when fishing… always amuses me how some members on club water routinely make a minimum of 4 false casts for a 20’ cast...

When setting drills Paul, what sort of number would you usually give a student to work on for the next lesson? And do you have any advice the best way to progress them…? I assume it’s either something along the lines of x minutes on each Or alternatively treat it like interval gym training… x number...
