I am not sure what you are saying here.
Is there not going to be a Trout Distance event?

Hi Bart, my comment was a joke, there will be the normal 6 fly casting events competed for in 2020, including the Trout Distance. I was just taking the piss out of Michal’s offer in an earlier post to award him the Trout Distance gold medal. He was joking also. He has been in Australia too long, his sense of humour is taking on a very much Australian flavour.

To all, no change in events in 2020. Same 6 events in Fly Casting that Lee had in Cumbria and were competed for in previous Fly Casting World Championships.

See you in Sweden,

John

Thanks for sharing.
Personally I find 400 euros entry fee quit expensive. I hope there will be an option to pay per event.
The price is not a definitive no go for me, but I think it is for all other dutch casters.
Instead of only nitpicking I would like to explain myself.
Some where considering giving it a try in one event. We would combine the WC with fishing, which makes the trip worth it for the less competitive casters.

On a positive note.
650 seems like a good deal, all meals included.

Ciao
Thank you for that Joakim
It is acctualy great deal. After my research from Australia, this is what I found
- cheapest AIRBNB $600 - no meals ( so it adds up for 5 days)
- transport to casting ground, not sure, but few bucks, and I am not renting a car this year
- casting fees, banquet etc

either way it is $1000, so I like the deal no.1- I am in
See you in Sweden

I agree with both points. Exceptionally good value if you stay for the whole comp, expensive if you just cast in one event and don’t stay. Me personally I’ll do the complete package of course; that’s an excellent deal.

Joakim, is it possible to describe the hotel and cabins in relation to the venue please? Are they all close to each other?

Many thanks Joakim!! Fantastic news indeed!!

Cheers, Paul
It's an exploration; bring a flyrod.
