Re: ICSF
Ciao
Ok, it is more fucked up than I thought, and I am just tring to put this together.
1) I would have to be a member of the Polish Casting Federation.
Casting sport in general is big in Poland and they have big team. Then pay the fees of membership ( not sure how much), and after they would decide if they include me in Polish team, or even put me through qualifications- hey I am the only Polish dude who does light tackle.
2) Friend of mine big name of Polish casting, started his own club A which belongs to other club B, and the club B belongs to ICSF. Being a member of club A ( no membership fees) puts me automaticly under the umbrella of ICSF, BUT club B has to decide if they include me in a Polish team- WTF
With this program I might not even see them of I arrive on Wednesday, they will be gone by Tuesday.
If I go I hope it will be more easier than it sounds.
3) Apparently it was in the past, and this is what might happen in 2020 (hopefully wont) that even if you compeat in 2-3 events you have to pay for the entire thing. Let say 800€ and enjoy your 10days if you like it or not- but with this lets wait till January.
If point 3 is the case, then I'm out.
If not then have a look at my research- and seems doable
a) AIRBNB ( i marked arrival on the 8th- departure on the 13), $256AUD = 155€, the average cost for all those days was $530AUD= 350€- no bad.
b) if I'm bored waiting for my event till friday I could go fishing in the lake. Weekly license is 400SEK= 35€ - Swedish pike- sounds awesome.
... glad I did some searching, I will have easier decision to make in January.
Cheers
Mike

Re: ICSF
Why fish in the lake when the pike fishing in the sea right where the casting will be done is for free?
Remember, sexyloops is a dating site, I met my wife on the bank of river Mørrum in 2004 at the sexyloops pike or bust trip

Re: ICSF
That is even better. I did not know that.
Dating ha?
Sometimes when I mention it to people SEXYLOOPS they give a look with a face expression( what kind of weird porn web this guy is visiting).
When they ask me why SEXYLOOPS, I tell them because tighter is better and sexier , then I have the same look- before I get to the loop part

Never fished for pike Lasse, will have a crack at it in Sweden. I look at Bernd’s Facebook photos of some envy, the take must be something else.

Re: ICSF
I will ask Lee.
Re: ICSF
I have here a similar situation Mike.
Lee:
"[..]All national organizations under ICSF/CIPS may take part in the World Championship. Bach nation can participate with maximum 8 casters in each event.[..]"
According to the constitution:
https://www.icsf-castingsport.com/uploa ... tution.pdf
"[..] 1.3.2. Membership is available to one National Casting Sport Federation or Association per country that is controlling the Casting Sport in that specific country. If a National Organisation does not practise during three years one or more disciplines, it can be replaced by another National Organisation which exercises an activity in this/these discipline(s). The replacement can be madeover decision of the General Assembly or over proposal of the ICSF Executive board.[..]"
Note the above "one", there can't be two national federations a full member. Full membership is required for above rule 2.1. Direct members are only the national associations (club B is an indirect member) and they can decide who takes part. I would have to ask the national coach for instance.
(I think above was changed recently, according to https://www.icsf-castingsport.com/uploa ... n_ICSF.pdf - see 1.3.7 )

Re: ICSF
Hi Michal,
Is not the Polish situation the same as other countries, one body PZW, the national body for casting and that group has many affiliated clubs as members? As the controlling body, PZW is the member of ICSF for Poland. Australia is the same, one organisation, The Australian Casting Federation, is the member of ICSF. A number of casting and fishing clubs make up the membership of the ACF, albeit that individual pay the annual ICSF membership fee. ICSF allows one member per nation, that member being the controlling body for casting in that country.
The recent Australian rule change proposal was submitted by the ACF, after it was voted on the the ACF membership.

Re: ICSF
Hi
I just had a video call with Wlodek Targosz- big Polish name in the casting sport.
Wlodek now lives in USA and he represents USA in casting sport. Wlodek recently swaped with Steve Rajeff and now Wlodek is in the ICSF comity for the USA.
PZW is a Polish organization for fishing and casting and has more enemies than followers- politics aparently.
Wlodek is the founder of the club A( i wrote before), and as everybody is trying to get away from PZW there is a new organization name PZC ( club B) and they are aparently more aproachable and directly under the ICSF.
I am waiting for an answer feom Wlodek for more clarification.
P.s
John, just hypothetically. If I was to represent Austrlia, I would become a member of ACF, what fees we are looking at in order to participate in flycasting WC?
Cheers

Re: ICSF
Hi
Im not sure how to put it in correct terms, but this is what was explained to me.
With PZW( Polish organization), first you sign up and pay for small club, the small club belong to the regional one, and the regional one belongs to PZW as national, and this is where all the crap politics starts.
PZC ( club B) cooperates with ICSF( not sure with what), but all fees are waved for PZC and its members. I am a member of CSK ( club A) which is inside PZC, that automaticly makes me a member of PZC and my fees are waved.
Next week I will be in touch with president of PZC and see what I have to do in order to compeat in Sweden?
If it is a small fee and than my own accommodation and fees for only the events I am in, then I am in, but if I have to pay all regardless of arrival either 4th 5th or 8th of Sep, and regardless of what I cast- then that is bulshit.
Looks like combining all of it was not an amazing idea- at least for me, as light tackle fly caster only.
Cheers
