Yesterday we had our very first dutch competitions. :yeahhh:
There where some interesting results. Especially from Jan, who proved to be an excellent double handed caster.
We have a lot of work to do on the accuracy part, but will be dangerous next WC :D
There was an unsteady breeze which was not consistently blowing from one direction. Most casters where casting with the wind coming slightly from the right.
The number ones are the current Dutch records.
The results are:

Trout Distance
Bart de Z 38.15m (125ft)
Ad vd S 35.20m (115ft)
Arie R 34.20m (112ft)
Rob D 33.60m (110ft)
Jan K 29.50m (97ft)
Richard Z 28.10m (92ft)
Rob L 28.10m (92ft)
Evert J 24.10m (79ft)

Sea Trout Distance
Bart de Z 41.20m (135ft)
Rob D 39.40m (129ft)
Arie R 34.20m (112ft)

Salmon Distance
Jan K 53.35m (175ft)
Bart de Z 50.55m (166ft)
Cornelis d A 48.80m (160ft)
Arie R 42.30m (139ft)

Trout Accuracy
Bart de Z 33
Jan K 26
Rob L 26
Ad vd S 22
Richard Z 12
Evert J 2

Thanks Bart

We also had quite unsteady winds, and alot of waves during the spey comps, accuracy was moved up close to the shore to be a bit sheltered, but there where quite turning winds. All the overhead distance events where cast in an airfield on Sunday, with the wind being very uneven, I think we all experienced head wind, tail wind, no wind, and wind from either side during our 4 minutes. I even drew blood in salmon with a cut from the leader on my left ear, casting right handed :D

Cheers

Bloody long casts, given the conditions Lasse.
Very well done.
