Hi all,

I'm getting a HT10 at the end of this month to throw the MED5 :pirate:, and I would just like to look at your designs! I'm not sure what to have on it in regards to whipping colour, reel seat spacer etc.

All the best

I can tell you for a fact that all the ones we have built have been standard on both counts. I don’t know about the Italians. Oh and there is a white one in NZ with orange whippings and a skull and crossbones.

Cheers, Paul

If there is a prize for “funky” it goes to Stu. Although Mika got pretty close.

All my HT's are standard, apart from my HT 6 Ninja :ninja: , which is black, black and black and I think that's awfully cool :-).
Though I am considering ordering one in camo :worthy:

Hi Nick,
The only thing I changed on my HT's is the handle.
The standard one is a bit to thick for my taste.

Hi Nick,

If you decide you want white you’ll have to give me some notice. Generally it can add some weeks to built time since we only hold stock of HT6 and HT7 instructor blanks. We have done other colours as well from camo to hot orange but unless you are instructing with it, I would certainly recommend the unpainted version. There is a small action change but really for long term good looks, particularly with regards epoxy and a hard life, then I would go for the carbon look.

We also have luminous thread which we have wrapped on a few rods, mostly around the ferrule whippings. We do a lot of personalised grips as well. There are in fact two cork grips we have in Full Wells. One is really quite large and suited best to giants. We also have correspondingly sized fighting butts.

Cheers, Paul

Hi Paul,

That sounds great! Yes, i think i will go for the standard black blank look, after all, it looks epic. Maybe dark blue thread with a silver trim band on each whipping would look good? I'm trying to think of nice colours to go with the orange MED, after all, i'll only be chucking an orange line through it  I'll have to have a solid think about this, i've never truly been a fan of full wells (that's just me) would it look ridiculous with a reverse half wells grip like the HT6?

All the best!
