Pullback, Counterflex and Loop Size

#21

Post by Geenomad »

Looking at Paul's vid it is not possible to measure CF so I can't say exactly whether there is more or less CF than with a normal stop but there is clearly a goodly amount of it.

Here's a short and sweet version leaving out CF.
Normal stop, normal loop.
Pullback stop. Rebound is accentuated, taking the rod leg up towards and back along the path of the fly leg. This tightens the loop. A well timed rod lift can aid and extend this effect.

Mac. I understand the theory that the fly leg will be accelerated but can't see it happening in the vid.

Cheers
