Hi Lasse

Yes this is the long Spey line which was used previously. If you can get the taper (diameters), thanks.

Hi Lee,

Which loop is which? It’s got to the point where I can’t guess anymore 😂

Cheers, Paul

It’s fine on it’s own, even the wrong way round 🤓

I have the feeling we are going to need a new thread on this one. Can you just confirm Lee, that it’s the reversed head that is the good one here mate?

Thanks,
Paul

No Paul, the reversed head turned second in both examples with the Gaelforce lines 😉

Just look at the contrast between the two lines as they are getting launched, the near side line is thicker near the rod tip and it’s quite obvious thats the one which is the right way round.

Ah, that makes sense to me now Lee. My definition of "good" was different to yours, that's all. I like the look of the cast with the head the right way round. The reversed one turns later, but looks horrible (to me) when it does it. ;)

Ah OK - that makes more sense! If you cast the reversed head on its own can you get it to fly better? With my two hybrid lines I had real problems with the front loaded tapers when casting slow. In particular I had the last section come through very low on the front weighted line.

(Looks like the world of physics has not been turned on its head!)

Yes mate, I said it a few posts back in reply to John, all the biggest distances in 55g casting here (70+m) have come from using reversed heads.

Cheers
Lee
