Milkfish

#1

Post by Paul Arden »

I’ve been invited to go Imaginary Milkfish fishing. Bread is not an option. These fish are in some sort of SW estuary/river. Apparently they are not easy - I already knew this.

What sort of flies/tactics? I’m guessing green fluffy things that float or semi-float stuck in front of their noses would be the first thing to try.

Thanks,
Paul

G'day Paul,

There's a guy in Townsville who chases them in a similar situation. Ask this question on the Aussie saltwater forum and see what sort of responses come up.

Good luck. I can only imagine ... :)

Cheers,
Graeme

Thanks mate, I popped an message off to Jono. He's sent me some photos of flies to try. I know he's had a few up there! Basically they are fluffy green things :)

Cheers, Paul
