I've tried different wire to make my own SW dubbing brushes. Thin copper electrical wire being readily available, But, breaks if you over twist it.

Any suggestions on a wire?

Hi Lou,

You’ve managed to confuse me :p By dubbing brushes do you mean the lollipop stick with Velcro for scruffing up seal fur? I also have a steel brush from Vosseler.

Cheers, Paul

Beading wire (used for making jewelry). Stainless steel, if you can get it.

Cheers,

Uni makes a stainless steel dubbing brush wire in two (maybe three) gauges, which I use for all my dubbing brushes. It’s quite good and quite a lot stronger than copper.

Paul, can you post a picture of your Vosseler dubbing brush?
