It looks like my waterproof camera has long since died. So what should I be looking for now? It needs to be waterproof, shockproof, Arden-proof and I need to be able to attach it to a steel pole in the middle of the boat, easily remove it, tie it to trees and so on. A flip around screen would be useful but not essential if it affects the integrity of the proof-ness, which I'm sure it does!

Thanks, Paul

What about slow mo and other interesting features? You could get an iphone 6 or whatever the android equivalent is (Samsnug S6?) and an Arden proof case. One less thing to carry that way.

Oh yeah, add a selfie stick and you can attach it to just about anything in a few seconds.

The iPhone battery lasts 10 minutes. I have a 5 and keep it constantly on charge. It's got to the point where I need a battery pack four times the size of the phone just to stay online. And the touch screen has a mind of its own.

Janesch,

I think that would be awesome! Just think of all the action shots we could see of Paul shooting rapids in his three story houseboat or burning his hair off when he gets too close to one of his bonfires. Come to think of it it's too late for the hair thing... :p

Yes I've seen that! Quite amazing. I wonder how it would work in the jungle!

Most of your action shots will be over open water (except for maybe the bonfire thing) so it should be okay.

I wonder if you could use it for a wifi or cellular extender.

Anyway no I need a camera I can tie to the boat. I know from experience it needs to he running for extended time periods to get any shots!
