Happy New Year 2020!! Here I am starting a new topic for photos this year. Here is a picture of Ashly. She might have just seen a tiger... :)

Is that the tarp I left or one of the tarps Stefan gave you? Mine was quite roughed up by the boats corners but it was much lighter and fragile than Stefans ones.

That’s Stefan’s tarp! I had left yours over The Ronan while away and by the time I came back it had self-destructed! Solar Panel is still going well however; that’s been really handy since I’ve removed the PowerFilm panel in preparation for the Battleship. :)

Cheers, Paul

I expected as much for the tarp. But it is nice to hear that the solar panel has been working well for you. ;)

Ive been fishing my new HT6 solid for the past 3 months here in NZ & I absolutely love it! A superb rod.. Our new season has been open for about a month now, and without visiting anglers this year (boarders still shut more or less) our waters are quiet!!

Cheers,

Tom - great to hear about the joy that rod is delivering. I'm inches away from putting in an order for the same. Might have to leave my name off it though, in case I get caught up the wrong catchment in my wandering, haha ;-)

Fishing has been limited through Covid... not because of restricted access to rivers, but with loads of staff furloughed I’ve been to bloody busy at work...
This was from a couple of weeks ago...

The river I was on doesn’t have the largest stamp of Grayling locally, but there were plenty of a reasonable size and some were even still looking up for a dry

And on a much reduced season, this was the best trout I found... a good size for the river I was on.... love the tail on it, looks like he’s borrowed it from his bigger brother :D
