Hi James
Awsome fish mate.
Did you have your "toothy creatures" leader straight on, or this fish was a nice suprise on a saltwater mono?
cheers

Hi Mike,

I had 18 inches of nylon covered wire on - we use this for casting at sharks or cuda's. Unfortunately the sharks we're seeing on the flats are mostly small.

Cheers, James

That's a nice cuda!

They are a seriously underrated fish on the flats, some of the most spectacular fighters I have seen have been barracudas. Way more fun than permit! ;)

For Christ's sake, James, can't you buy an 8wt :p

Congratulations Karel. When you day #5 do you mean this is number 5? To use the words of my grandmother when my mum told her she was pregnant for the fourth time, "You do know what's causing this?"

Cheers! Paul
It's an exploration; bring a flyrod.

I don't think an #8 would make any difference, I can straighten the hooks on the commercially tied carp flies I use with the HT #5, in fact I did straighten one the same day. So stronger hooks would make a difference  .
