Any methods for separating two stuck rod sections? I've tried the behind the knees method with no luck.
I've also tried pulling and twisting while Gemma holds one section but that's not working either. Obviously this could be down to Gemma weighing about half as much as me :D

Yes! You need to hold both ends and Gemma needs to hold both ends and you push apart. That way you’re not pulling Gemma off her feet! :D

And with that method the pull is straight.

Thanks guys, this has sorted itself out on its own! After two days of being completely stuck, I took it outside for some practice and walking to the park it came apart easily. Change in temperature???

Yep. Had one drop off the roof of the car. Totally stuck for 6 months. Overwintered in garage and came unstuck next season.

That’s the longer term option.

Cheers, Paul
