Leather case for the Hot Torpedo rod tube

#1

Post by piffilus »

In my correspondence with Paul prior to buying the Hot Torpedo, I mentioned that I maybe would make a leather case for the rod tube and now it's actually done. It's the first time I've done one so it's not a 100% perfect if you ask me but it's close. So here's some pics of it. I hope you like it. I do anyway :oh:

Thank a lot Flavio!
I haven't got a clue what the additional weight is since I didn't weigh the material before I made it. But I might be able to find out if I cut a piece for a new one and weigh the straps and additional hardware that I have.

Very nice. How much you'd want for such a tube? I don't have metal tube for my HT4 though. I have th version before which is a plastic tube in a cordura cover. So the job would be slightly different.

Thanks Paul and Vince. The stitching on the back side was a b*tch to do. Especially since I messed up about 10 cm in to it and noticed it when I had done 1/3 of it so I had to undo everything down to the mistake and do it all over. It took at least 2,5 hours to complete the stitching...
