It doesn't play video in Airplane mode

the whole app works very well for me in airplane mode or not. iPhone 4s IOS7

Thanks Marc. After two minutes playing with the app (iPad 3 / iOS7) I have found that if I start playing a vid and then enable Airplane mode (ie disable WiFi) the vid will continue to play. If I enable Airplane mode and then try to play a vid, it will not play.

I suspect this because it checks with the App Store app to see if the vid has been purchased before playing (Paul if your developer is interested I'm happy to send screenshots of what I'm seeing)

Also I can't playback the content on my 1080p TV via AirPlay using my Apple TV. I get an error message:
"An error occurred loading this content. Try again later."
This was true also before the 1.1.2 software update.
Other video content on my iPad does play. I don't own any other iOS apps with video content with which to compare. This is no great hardship as watching the vids on the iPad is excellent.

i'm not too techy about these things but the app is downloaded to the device so, i can't see what wifi has to do with it ?

Marc,

Before IOS 7 it was possible to watch the video (once download) everywhere, without a wifi connection and without phone connection. Now, with IOS7, without wifi or phone connection, no video — ore more exactly, just as Andrew said : the thing works without wifi connection, but only for one round, and if you start playing the video before to switch on the airplane mode.

I appreciate that Marc. My iPad doesn't have a SIM card so can connect to the Internet only via WiFi. What I have observed is that with WiFi enabled the episodes have either a 'Purchased' subscript or a price, in the UK £1.49.
Without WiFi the episodes do not have the subscript and will not play.
I will re-download one of the purchased episodes to see if this changes what I am seeing.
