Hi Paul,

When casting far in fishing situations - and assuming no significant wind - will you hold the rod completely vertical or do you cant it slightly? If so, by how much ca?
Maybe an added cast filmed from in front of or behind you in the video would make this clear as well...

Hi Chris, yes I normally do - for safety. Not by much, just enough to keep the line off shoulder. Sometimes however I've had to go straight over the top, either because of the layout of the others in the boat or because it's a heavy fly that has to land straight, and then I concentrate!!
